Special Notices: Suspensions

  1. Suspended players, coaches, team officials, may not participate in any games UNTIL their Official Suspension is fully completed i.e.: if there are two games left on an official suspension, the suspended individual may participate in the teams Third Game.

A double or triple penalty during a single stoppage of play to one or more players shall count as two or three penalties respectively.
  3. In Nova Scotia, game misconduct penalties carry with them additional game suspensions and the Nova Scotia code of Discipline gives the minimum additional suspension for specific infractions. The suspensions listed on the suspension chart within the Hockey Nova Scotia document apply during the period of the tournament i.e.: April 2 to April 5, 2016 and any regular or tournament games after that date.
  4. PENALTIES RESULTING IN GAME OR GROSS MISCONDUCTS, MATCH PENALTIES etc., result in immediate suspension for the remainder of the game PLUS additional game suspensions WHICH ARE AUTOMATIC and take effect in the next game and represent the minimum suspensions laid down by HNSMC. Team Officials are responsible for ensuring, without further notice from anyone, that players and/or team officials serve the minimum suspensions listed in Suspensions.
